2014 has just begun and now is the time to set a goal or two.

One of the biggest mistakes we can make when setting New Year Resolutions is that we make to many goals. Keep your list to just 1 or 2 goals and give them your attention. Once you accomplish these goals, then by all mean, make more.

Try these tips:

1. Make a goal calendar, and mark off each day.

2. Write down your goals.

3. Journal your experiences. The more involved you are with your goals, the more likely you are to succeed.

4. Tell your friends about your goals, you can even tell your Facebook friends. Accountability, is a big motivator.

5. Make weekly progress notes, photos, etc.

Part of the problem with goals is that we tend to get depressed if we don’t meet them. It’s important that we aren’t to hard on ourselves if we don’t make our goals, just the fact that you are trying is a great achievement and if you don’t make your goals, try again.

If you have blocks about setting, or seeing your goals all the way through to the end, then clear any trapped emotions around those issues.

Good luck and Happy 2014!
