For our Tip of the Week a few weeks ago we talked about how you can make an “Inspired Routine”. Having a routine has many advantages, as you can read in the article, but also a major source of inspiration can come from having an open mind to the world you live in. By being open to new possibilities, your world, your mind, your heart, and your soul can become constantly invigorated. Finding a balance between your “daily routine” and “exploring” can lead to a fulfilling life, because no one wants to feel stuck. If you do feel stuck, then I hope this article inspires you.
For many of us when we become stuck inside the daily routines of our lives our creative process goes quickly downhill. That’s why it’s so important to go out and try new things that will invigorate you. I would like you to think back to the first time you ever visited a new place that totally blew your mind. Can you remember how you felt? I bet you felt like you were on top of the world. Or, how about the first time you went to the symphony, went hang gliding, read an amazing book, or climbed a mountain? There are so many experiences that can benefit us, but to have these experiences we first have to be open to them. If you feel afraid of having new experiences then perhaps you need to clear some trapped emotions, do some yoga, meditate, or simply just get out there and do it. By taking control of our lives we can truly be set free.
Recently I was able to visit Dublin, Ireland and the library at Trinity College and the Book of Kells. I have wanted to see the Trinity Library for a very long time and when I finally stepped through the doorway and found myself surrounded by thousands of dusty volumes my heart soared, there is simply no other way to say it. I felt truly grateful to be on this earth, to be able to witness, what was for me, one of life’s greatest moments. I felt inspired. I still do when I think about that day.
I would like for you to think about the first time you had the Emotion Code or Body Code used on you. How did you feel? Were you inspired?
Something to remember is that it is very important that we explore with a positive attitude, thereby attracting positive experiences and people into our lives. If having a new, life altering event changes you for the better then don’t stop there, keep exploring. Yes, it can also be a bit scary at first, but with practice you can find a whole new world of possibilities that can better your life and the lives of those around you.
