‘Tis the season for sugar and spice! My kitchen is overflowing with sugary snacks: gingerbread cookies, candy canes, peppermint fudge, eggnog and spiced cider! The only problem is sometimes I lose control and tend to over indulge. My evening is then spent with an upset stomach, a killer headache and feeling lethargic and crummy. So I am reminding myself that sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to sweets.

This week, make an effort to limit yourself to only one or two treats instead of the entire kitchen. You’ll feel better and your body will thank you for it! The scale will also reflect your discipline and dedication. So enjoy all the holidays have to offer, including the yummy snacks, just in healthy moderation!
