How to Create Videos For Your Energy Healing Business on Social Media

1. Choose to Film Horizontally or Vertically

  • Filming in landscape (horizontal) orientation ensures your video looks great on most devices, including laptop and desktop screens. It also allows more room for you to move and visually engage with viewers.
    • To film in landscape, turn your phone or camera sideways before you hit record.
  • There are some instances when filming vertically is a good idea! For example, if you plan to use your video exclusively as a Reel, TikTok, or Instagram Story, you’ll want to film it vertically.

2. Keep Your Video Stable

  • Use a tripod or steady surface to avoid shaky footage. Stability helps your audience focus on your message rather than camera movement.
  • If you don’t have a tripod, try propping your phone on a stack of books or against a solid surface to keep it level.

3. Mind Your Lighting

  • Natural light works great—try facing a window so the light is on your face instead of behind you. Soft, even lighting helps you appear clear and vibrant on camera.
  • Avoid harsh overhead lights or direct sunlight that can create heavy shadows or wash you out.

4. Choose a Clean Background for Your Video

  • Clutter-free, neutral settings help viewers focus on you and your story.
  • Find a quiet, simple space with minimal distractions so your message stands out.

5. Check Your Sound

  • Speak clearly and confidently, and make sure you’re close enough to your phone or camera so your voice is recorded clearly.
  • Do your best to eliminate background noise (fans, air conditioners, traffic) to keep the focus on your voice. A small, quiet room with soft furnishings can help reduce echo.

6. Frame Your Shot

  • Position the camera at eye level (rather than up high, or down low) to maintain a natural connection with the viewer.
  • Leave a little space above your head (headroom), and center yourself horizontally to maintain a balanced, professional look.
  • Utilize the rule of thirds to frame yourself on camera. This method of framing shots involves visualizing a grid of vertical and horizontal lines on your filming shot, then placing yourself or any other points of interest in your video along the intersecting points of the grid. This is meant to create a visually pleasing composition for viewers.

7. Keep It Short & Sweet

  • Generally, you’ll want to aim for around 1–3 minutes of focused content. Short and organized content is most likely to keep viewers’ attention!
  • Create a brief outline or talking points beforehand to help stay on track and deliver a clear message.

8. Show Your Personality

  • Relax and be authentic. Smile, speak from the heart, and let your passion for energy healing shine through.
    • You might take time to pray, meditate, release any hindering trapped emotions, or ground yourself in another way before filming so that you feel relaxed and peaceful!
  • Feel free to include personal anecdotes, success stories, testimonials from your clients, and more!

9. Get Creative and Have Fun

  • Create videos that resonate with you and the clients you’d love to attract! The more fun you have recording your videos, the more fun viewers will have watching them.
  • Tap into your creativity, and think of content you wish existed when you started learning about energy healing! Create with love and care for your viewers.

10. Test Before You Record

  • Do a quick test recording to check your lighting, sound, and framing. Watch it back to make sure everything looks and sounds right.
  • Adjust your setup if needed (move closer to a light source, reduce background noise, etc.) before recording your final submission.

Publishing Videos on Social Media

Before publishing your videos on social media, consider using apps like CapCut, InShot, or Canva for simple video editing. Keep visuals and transitions simple so your message is the focus. Avoid heavy filters or distracting edits. Feel free to incorporate calming background music, but keep the volume low so that viewers can hear your words of wisdom!

Once you’re ready to publish, add an engaging caption to your video. You might choose a quote from something you said or a summary of the video’s main points. Add hashtags and tag other relevant accounts (like Discover Healing!).

Ethical Practices for Videos on Social Media

When sharing on social media as an energy healing practitioner, it is important to respect your client’s privacy. If you share videos about client experiences, obtain permission from them first. Focus on your unique energy and offerings. Ensure all content is aligned with your healing mission and higher purpose. Be sure to give a realistic representation of energy healing throughout your content – we know how powerful this work has been for many people, but we cannot promise results.
