A Heart-Wall® can form when the energy of one or more emotions becomes trapped around the heart. A Heart-Wall is your body’s attempt to protect your vulnerable heart. When this energetic barrier of Trapped Emotions forms, it can keep us from feeling hurtful, negative emotions as deeply. Although this can be helpful in the short term, the problem is that it inhibits our ability to feel loving, joyful, wonderful emotions as well! What Is a Heart-Wall?
A Heart-Wall is a safety measure. It is a virtual security system installed by your subconscious that keeps toxic, intruding negativity out and allows you to survive. Although it serves a purpose, it should only be there temporarily.
While a Heart-Wall is not an actual physical barrier around your heart, it is built with “materials” that are very real to your subconscious. The “material” used can be reflective of the event that caused the construction of the Heart-Wall in the first place. Your subconscious may have constructed it from wood from a memory of hardwood floors when the traumatic event happened, for example. Or it could be a good memory that gives you strength, like making it out of kryptonite because you loved Superman as a kid.
These Heart-Wall materials are subconscious manifestations of energy being used to defend yourself and your emotions. You are using your own energy to keep yourself safe and help you function through a difficult time.
How Does a Heart-Wall Hurt?
While the construction of a Heart-Wall can protect you from bad feelings coming in, it also keeps out the good feelings. Conversely, your love, desire, and happiness get trapped behind that Heart-Wall, so you are unable to send out positive vibes. So you can see that a Heart-Wall doesn’t just hurt you, it can hurt those around you who need your joy and love.
A Heart-Wall can be an emotional prison. Until you find it and release the trapped emotions and energies causing it, you will go through life somewhat like a zombie. You are moving, you are surviving, but you are not living.
Determining if You Have a Heart-Wall
Having a Heart-Wall can make it harder to give and receive love. You may not be able to feel positive emotions as deeply, such as happiness, gratitude, empathy, and more. It can cause feelings of loneliness, isolation, and sadness. A Heart-Wall may impact you physically as well. Ask yourself the following questions. If you answer yes to one or more, you may have a Heart-Wall. Identifying this possibility is a great first step!
- Have you been injured emotionally in the past?
- Have you felt an emotional heaviness in your heart, as though your heart was breaking?
- Do you feel as though you can’t fully experience joy or happiness?
- Is it challenging for you to connect with others?
- Is it hard for you to connect romantically with others?
- Do you feel closed off to love?
- Do you often feel lonely or isolated from those around you?
- Do you feel heaviness or discomfort in your chest, neck, or shoulders?
Does any of this sound familiar? If so, you might have a Heart-Wall. Once you’ve determined what’s potentially holding you back, the next step is to clear the trapped emotions that form your Heart-Wall.
What To Do If You Have a Heart-Wall
The most effective way we know to clear the Heart-Wall is using the Emotion Code, which is contained within the Body Code™. Often, clearing a Heart-Wall requires three to five sessions to be completely removed. This is because a Heart-Wall is typically made up of layers of emotional energy, or trapped emotions in the body. Each layer must be identified, then systematically cleared. By following the steps of the Emotion Code chart and the Body Code mindmaps, you may be able to clear these layers in a way that does not further interfere with your energy.
A Heart-Wall can be identified and removed by following the Emotion Code flowchart and self-testing or by working with a Certified Emotion Code or Body Code Practitioner. Here are the general steps to follow, when clearing a Heart-Wall:
- Use muscle testing to connect with your subconscious and determine deeply held answers you likely couldn’t access otherwise.
- Refer to the Heart Wall Flowchart and Emotion Code Flowchart and follow the questions listed there.
- Identify whether you have a Heart-Wall.
- Begin to determine the trapped emotion(s) that make up your Heart-Wall using the Emotion Code Chart.
- Ask questions to determine additional details about the emotion, such as the age you acquired it. For example, you might ask, “Was the emotion trapped before age 20?”
- Swipe a magnet over the governing meridian to release the identified trapped emotion.
- Determine if the emotion was released.
- Ask your subconscious if there are more emotions to release from your Heart-Wall.
Even if the answer is no, your Heart-Wall may not be fully cleared. Often a Heart-Wall is comprised of multiple emotions, and it will take a number of sessions to fully release. The body can only process so many emotions in one session. If you are at your limit for a session, your subconscious will let you know. Give yourself time, then test again!

“Once we release our Heart-Wall we normally feel better, more relaxed, and lighter. After that, the changes can be as varied as the people who experience them. People, things, situations, beliefs, and ideas can completely change. When a vibration changes and the person is not in resonance with the new energy, they must also change. Sometimes the changes are drastic, therefore things may appear chaotic for a while. If this happens, embrace the change and do not resist.
“It is normal to see dramatic results two or three months after releasing a Heart-Wall, but changes may come more quickly. Your soul is taking over and communication with your heart is being re-established. Changes seem to happen naturally as if it were just a coincidence that the Heart-Wall was released. Many people don’t even associate the changes with this issue.
“For example, one of my first clients was a friend of my sister. She came to see me because she was a single mom with a 7-year-old whose father had fled back to the USA as soon as he heard she was expecting. All she wanted was to form a family with a man who loved her. She was currently in a relationship, and she had been seeing this man on and off for four to five years. She obviously wasn’t happy and he didn’t treat her right. She always ended up going back to him for fear of being alone. She was simply unable to break up with him for good. It was not surprising that she had a Heart-Wall. It took us three sessions to release it, and off she went.
“About three or four months later, I asked my sister how my client was doing, and if she had noticed any changes.
